WUDFLY legal
Terms of use
These terms govern use of wudfly.com and the purchase, download and use of WUDFLY digital aircraft products. Please read them before placing an order.
Last updated: 6 August 2026
WUDFLY sells downloadable aircraft files, documentation and setup resources. No physical kit is supplied unless a product page explicitly says otherwise.
Your purchase normally covers personal, non-commercial use. Files may not be shared, uploaded, resold or used to manufacture products for sale.
You are responsible for printing, assembly, configuration, pre-flight checks, legal operation and the suitability of every component you use.
Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded in your country of residence.

Scope and acceptance
These Terms of Use and Sale (the “Terms”) apply to your use of wudfly.com (the “Site”) and to digital products supplied by WUDFLY, including aircraft design files, printable parts, assembly jigs, manuals, print guidance, flight-controller configuration files and related downloads (the “Products”).
By placing an order, downloading a Product or using a Product, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms. If you purchase on behalf of another person or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind them.
You must be legally capable of entering into a contract. Products are intended for competent adult builders. A minor may only use them with the purchase, involvement and supervision of a responsible adult.
Products and technical requirements
Unless a product page clearly states otherwise, WUDFLY Products are digital downloads. No printed airframe, electronics, battery, radio equipment or other physical item is included.
Product pages describe the files supplied and the recommended printer, filament, electronics, software and skill level. You are responsible for checking that you have suitable equipment and can open, slice, print and use the supplied file formats before purchasing.
Aircraft mass, strength, endurance, speed, handling and other results depend on print settings, material condition, component selection, assembly quality, firmware, tune, weather, altitude and piloting. Recorded or estimated performance figures are examples, not guarantees that every build will achieve the same result.
Orders, prices and payment
Before submitting an order, you can review the Product, price and information entered, and correct errors using the checkout tools. An order is submitted when you activate the final purchase button indicating an obligation to pay.
Your order is an offer to purchase. A contract is formed when WUDFLY accepts it by sending an order confirmation or providing access to the Product, whichever happens first. WUDFLY may reject or cancel an order before acceptance where reasonably necessary, including suspected fraud, payment failure, obvious pricing error or unlawful use.
Prices are primarily displayed in Swiss francs (CHF). Approximate conversions into other currencies are for convenience and may differ from the final amount charged by your card issuer or payment provider. Any applicable tax or unavoidable charge will be shown before you complete the order.
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. WUDFLY does not receive or store your complete payment-card details.
Digital delivery and access
After successful payment, Products are normally delivered by immediate download, account access, an emailed link, or a combination of these methods. Order confirmation is normally sent to the email address supplied at checkout.
You are responsible for entering a working email address, checking spam or junk folders and downloading the files promptly. You should keep your own secure backup. WUDFLY does not guarantee permanent cloud storage or uninterrupted access to old download links.
If payment succeeds but your download is missing, damaged or inaccessible, contact andrew@wudfly.com. WUDFLY will make a reasonable effort to restore access or provide a replacement download.
Personal-use licence
Unless the relevant product page or a separate written licence says otherwise, purchasing a Product grants the named purchaser a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence for personal, non-commercial use.
You may
- download and keep a reasonable number of backup copies on devices you control;
- print parts and build multiple examples of the aircraft for your own personal use;
- modify the files or printed parts for your own personal use, at your own risk; and
- share photographs and video of your completed builds and flights.
You may not
- share, send, upload, publish, trade, lend or otherwise distribute the original files or modified versions;
- place the files in a public or private repository, group, forum, club library, cloud folder or file-sharing service for access by others;
- resell, sublicense or bundle the files with another product or service;
- sell printed parts, airframes, kits or completed aircraft made from the files;
- use the files or derivatives as the basis of a competing commercial design;
- remove copyright, product identification or licence notices; or
- use the Product for an unlawful purpose, as a weapon, or to carry a dangerous payload.
Contact WUDFLY before offering printed parts, kits, completed aircraft, build services or any other commercial use based on a WUDFLY Product.
Product updates and support
Where a product page expressly includes free updates for a named product version, your purchase includes access to updates that WUDFLY chooses to publish for that version while the Product remains supported and the distribution system remains operational.
For example, “lifetime updates” for BANDIT V1 means future BANDIT V1 file corrections, documentation revisions and supported setup updates published through WUDFLY. It does not include separate aircraft, major new product generations, unrelated files, custom engineering work or guaranteed compatibility with every future item of hardware or software.
WUDFLY does not promise a minimum number or frequency of updates. Support may be provided through email or the community channel identified on the Site. Support is practical guidance, not remote supervision of your build or flight operation.
Withdrawal, cancellations and refunds
Customers in Switzerland
Swiss law does not provide a general statutory cooling-off period for ordinary online purchases. Because WUDFLY Products are digital and access is normally provided immediately, purchases are generally final once download or access begins, subject to any mandatory legal rights.
EU, EEA and United Kingdom consumers
Where consumer law in your country grants a withdrawal period for a distance contract, you may have the right to cancel before digital delivery begins. If you expressly request immediate supply of the digital content and acknowledge that this causes the withdrawal right to be lost, the right is lost when download or access begins, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Problems WUDFLY will address
Contact WUDFLY if you were charged twice, did not receive access, received incomplete or corrupted files, or believe the Product materially differs from its description. WUDFLY may repair or replace the files, restore access, provide a reasonable workaround, or issue a refund where appropriate.
A refund is not normally available merely because you changed your mind after receiving access, do not have suitable equipment, selected unsuitable print settings or materials, damaged a build, or cannot achieve a published example performance figure. This does not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Model withdrawal notice — where a legal right of withdrawal still applies
You may copy and email the following notice to andrew@wudfly.com:
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following digital Product:

Aircraft safety and legal compliance
Building and operating model aircraft, FPV systems, electric motors, propellers and lithium batteries involves serious risk. A printing defect, incorrect assembly, unsuitable component, configuration error, radio failure, battery failure, structural damage or piloting mistake may cause injury, fire, property damage or loss of the aircraft.
You are solely responsible for:
- choosing suitable materials, settings, hardware, electronics and adhesives;
- inspecting every printed part and replacing parts affected by impact, heat, UV exposure, fatigue, delamination or other damage;
- correct assembly, balance, control direction, control travel, centre of gravity and structural integrity;
- checking firmware, mixers, receiver behaviour, arming logic, flight modes, failsafe, motor outputs and servo outputs;
- conducting restrained ground tests and conservative maiden flights in a suitable location;
- maintaining safe separation from people, animals, roads, buildings and other aircraft;
- complying with all airspace, registration, identification, insurance, radio, video-transmitter, privacy and operating rules that apply where you fly; and
- obtaining any permission, observer, spotter, qualification or authorisation required for your operation.
Any INAV CLI, tune, rate, mixer or configuration file is a starting point for the documented setup, not a substitute for checking your own aircraft. Never assume that channel order, servo direction, motor direction, failsafe or control response is correct without verifying it physically before flight.
Do not fly a damaged, incorrectly configured or structurally questionable aircraft. Recheck the build and resolve the cause first.
Third-party hardware, software and services
WUDFLY Products may be designed around third-party printers, filament, motors, flight controllers, firmware, radio systems, FPV equipment, batteries, slicers and other products. Those items are not manufactured or controlled by WUDFLY.
Availability, specifications, firmware behaviour and compatibility may change. References to a third-party product do not create a warranty or partnership. You must follow the manufacturer’s instructions and independently verify that each component is suitable and lawful for your use.
Intellectual property
The Site and Products, including aircraft geometry, CAD, STL and other design files, documentation, photographs, video, graphics, branding and written content, are owned by Andrew Livesley/WUDFLY or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Purchasing a Product does not transfer ownership of the design or copyright. You receive only the limited licence expressly described in these Terms or in a separate written agreement.
If you send WUDFLY technical feedback, corrections or suggestions, you permit WUDFLY to use that feedback to improve Products and documentation without payment or obligation. This does not transfer ownership of your photographs, videos or original creative work.
Product description and warranties
WUDFLY aims to supply the files and documentation described on the relevant product page and to correct verified defects where reasonably possible. However, digital aircraft files are supplied for use in a complex build process that WUDFLY does not control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WUDFLY does not guarantee that a Product will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every printer, slicer, firmware version or component, or suitable for every purpose or operating environment. No statement on the Site replaces your own engineering judgement, pre-flight inspection or legal responsibilities.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any statutory guarantee, conformity right or other consumer protection that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WUDFLY is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, loss of opportunity, loss of an aircraft, damage arising from modifications, or damage resulting from printing, assembly, configuration, maintenance or operation outside WUDFLY’s direct control.
Where liability may lawfully be limited, WUDFLY’s total liability connected with a Product will not exceed the amount you paid for that Product.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion is prohibited, including liability for unlawful intent or gross negligence, or any other non-excludable liability under applicable law.
Suspension and licence termination
The licence granted under these Terms ends automatically if you materially breach it, including by sharing, uploading, reselling or commercially exploiting the files without permission. On termination, you must stop using the Product and delete all digital copies in your possession or control.
WUDFLY may suspend account, download or community access where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, security threats, harassment, unlawful activity or continued licence infringement. Termination does not affect rights or obligations that arose before termination.
Privacy and personal data
Personal data is handled as described in the WUDFLY Privacy Policy. Payment providers, ecommerce infrastructure and other service providers may process data needed to complete your order, deliver downloads, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations under their own terms and privacy notices.
Changes to Products and these Terms
WUDFLY may improve, correct, replace or discontinue Site content, download methods, support channels and Product files. A change will not remove a licence already validly granted for files you purchased, although continued online access and compatibility cannot be guaranteed indefinitely.
These Terms may be updated when the business, Site or law changes. The version presented when your order is accepted governs that purchase. Later versions apply to later purchases and continued use of the Site from their stated update date.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms and contracts with WUDFLY are governed by Swiss law, excluding conflict-of-law rules, to the extent that this choice is permitted.
The courts at the provider’s Swiss domicile have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer right to bring or defend proceedings in another competent court. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory protections that apply in your country of habitual residence.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact WUDFLY and provide the order number and a clear description of the issue so that a practical resolution can be attempted.
